There are many good things about sports and many bad things both have a different impact on players. Athletes enjoy the sport they play mainly because it is very challenging and rewarding. But some players enjoy the popularity. However, competitive sports also have risks, some of which can cause physical disorders or even injuries such as broken bones, torn muscles, cramps and bruises. Not only that, they can also harm athletes’ mental health which can cause depression and anxiety.
Many athletes get hate from social media and in person because of different teams and team rivalries or sports played by a single player. Although there are downsides, competitive sports can also boost a player’s mental health when they score or just celebrate a win with team members. Also being in teams doesn’t put as much pressure on them as single-player sports. Single-player sports are very complicated because you are trying to win by yourself in front of thousands, which is a lot of pressure and very stressful.
Overall, players in competitive sports are always at some type of risk physically and mentally. Even during practice they can still get injured or face immense pressure that affects their confidence. In the end competitive sports can be both rewarding and risky. They teach athletes hard work and teamwork, but they can also lead to injuries and mental health issues.
