It's true that us middle schoolers sweat a lot, so we wear cologne to cover the smell of sweat. The problem is that too many students overuse scents and make everyone around them miserable. Colognes and scents can vary in strength and how long they last as much as they can in smell. You can tell the strength of cologne or perfume by its name. The strength from least to strongest goes in this order: cologne, eau de toilette, eau de parfum, perfume, and elixir.
The best places to spray your scents if you want the best performance are your wrists, the inside of your elbows, and your neck. Heat also plays a large part in how strong scents can be. The hotter it is, the stronger it will smell. Most scents only require two to three sprays to be effective and noticeable. During the summer, even less sprays are needed. Anything more than that can make the smell too powerful and ruin your goal of smelling nice. The more you use a scent, the harder it will be for you to notice the smell, but not those around you. Sometimes you just have to trust that it is still working.
According to a student poll completed at Riverside Preparatory, the most preferred cologne to wear at school is YSL MYSLF (Yves Saint Laurent) followed closely by Dior Sauvage and Valentino.
