People who live in the High Desert are calling Victorville “Victimville”, as multiple incidents are happening around town. These types of incidents vary from car crashes, people being hit by cars, guns, murders, Etc. This is bad for Victorville because residents can leave as they’re concerned for their safety.
February 13th 2025, a man named Jose Rogers lost his life in a rollover crash. The crash happened at around 3:30 PM, and according to Victor Valley Highway Patrol, the crash involved only one vehicle that rolled over, causing the driver to inject the vehicle.
February 16th 2025, a pedestrian was hit by a Silver Nissan Sentra. Victorville on Nisqually and Mariposa Road, he sustained minor injuries and fortunately was in stable condition.
February 18th 2025, a crime suppression operation, named “Operation Consequences” resulted in 19 felony charges and 36 misdemeanor charges along with the finding of three firearms and drugs.
February 16th, 2025, a 46 year old man named Gabriel Valencia was arrested for domestic violence after assaulting his girlfriend. He is held on a $100,000 bail and the investigation is still ongoing to this day.

February 16th, 2025, a shooting was reported. Once police arrived on the scene, the suspect was tased and arrested. He became unresponsive and unfortunately died in the hospital. Investigations are still ongoing with no other victims reported.
February 19th, a man was arrested after threatening employees with a gun. He also denied carrying alcohol, and he faces charges of assault with a firearm and exhibiting a weapon.
February 19th, 2025, an inmate named Thomas O’Hara II, 58 years old found unresponsive in his cell at FCI, Victorville after officers[ tried saving his life. He was unfortunately pronounced dead, there was no threat found to him.
February 20th, 2025, a woman named Rodriguez Avila was arrested while working in Victorville for extreme child abuse after a 3-year-old girl with hospitalized with major injuries including paralysis.
