Beyonce finally wins Album of the year award after four years. She won this award for her album“Cowboy Carter”, featuring Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton with a total of 11 nominations. The top song is “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM’” with, according to grammys.com, 613,046,830 streams.
THE GRAMMY’S “ROB” BILLIE EILISH
Famous singer Billie Eilish receives a total of seven nominations, allowing her to appear at the Grammys this year. Although, she went home with no trophies. Billie had been nominated for three big awards, Record of the year (Birds of a Feather), Album of the year (Hit Me Hard And Soft) and song of the year (Birds of a Feather). People state that they believe the Grammys was rigged as when everyone figured she wasn’t winning any awards they immediately changed the screen monitor to her crying.
“NOT LIKE US” RECIEVES 5 GRAMMYS
Popular rapper, Kendrick Lamar won five grammys total including best music video, best rap performance, best rap song, song of the year and finally record of the year just on his song “Not like us” with a total of 1,044,769,255 streams just in 278 days. After Kendrick’s speech, he states, “Drake what’s up?” Throwing lots of shade resulting in this clip being very viral amongst social media and interviews.
GRAMMY’S SHOWCASES THE L.A FIRES
Directly before Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s performance, a montage of the L.A wildfire appears on the monitor screens. Attendees see what Los Angeles looked like a few weeks ago as the montage features a compilation of the wildfire footage that destroyed Pacific Palisades and Altadena.
DOECHII RECEIVES RAP ALBUM OF THE YEAR
Doechii becomes the third ever female rapper to ever receive the rap album grammy, presented by famous rapper Cardi B. She won this rap album of the year award for her viral song, “Alligator Bites Never Heal”. Doechii’s speech states “I know that there is some black girl out there right now, and I want to tell you it is possible. Don’t let anyone put any stereotypes on you.”
KAI CENAT DOES A BACKFLIP FOR HIS GLAMBOT
Popular Youtuber and Twitch streamer “Kai Cenat” arrives at the grammys being very excited to meet multiple celebrities. Kai’s glambot is also clipped and going viral as he does a backflip, (which he doesn’t land). Kai Cenat meets Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and many more artists.
CHAPPELL ROAN RECEIVES BEST NEW SINGER AWARD
New singer Chappell Roan has been featured in many social media clips, articles and interviews. She became famous from a series of independent singles including her song “Pink Pony Club”. She gets nominated for best pop vocal album, best pop solo performance, and finally album, song and record of the year but wins the best new singer award.
